President's Welcome Dear Sudbury Garden Club Friends, I wish you all a sincere welcome to the new Garden Club year. I look forward to our experiences this year as we form our Club’s team to serve and beautify the Town of Sudbury and to expand our knowledge of Horticulture and Floral Design. This year’s programs have been carefully planned for us, and together with our community service, frequent opportunities for road trips, participation in shows, Girls’ Night Out, and our very successful Plant Sale in the spring, promise to provide an active and rewarding Garden Club adventure as we approach the new year. This publication is a Labor of Love, assembled for you to keep handy throughout the year and use as a frequent reference for questions you may have or dates you may need to remember and incorporate into your schedule. If you bring the book to meetings you can use the blank pages to add additional information which is available at meetings. Be sure to check right away for the following important dates: Your hospitality committee dates Your week to provide flowers for the library The date of the Plant Sale Our program meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at (new time!) 9:30 am. The meetings are generally held at the Goodnow Library, and our new earlier time should make it easier for anyone who has school children to pick up. Sudbury Garden Club plays a very important role in our Town. Our efforts are immensely appreciated by those who enjoy the beauty of what we provide, the generosity of our giving in both time and funds, and the knowledge and skill which goes into the projects. We are also vitally important to each other, and I am proud to be a member of such a caring and dedicated group.
