SUDBURY
GARDEN CLUB HOLDS ANNUAL PLANT SALE
The Sudbury Garden Club will hold its annual plant sale on
Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. until 12 Noon at the Sudbury
Town Hall, Sudbury Center
(at Route #27 and Concord Road). In addition to a spectacular assortment of
annuals, herbs and hanging plants, the highlight of the plant sale is the
large number of member-grown perennials.
Every spring, for over 28
years, members have been digging their Sudbury
grown perennials and potting them to sell at this annual event. These hardy plants have proven they can
survive in Sudbury. Many are rare varieties and are not
available elsewhere.
The bake table offers snacks
for immediate consumption, as well as a variety of homemade breads and
desserts to take home.
Please join us – rain or
shine. This is the Sudbury Garden
Club’s major fundraiser, and all proceeds benefit the Sudbury community. Scholarships are given to graduating high
school students, who plan to major in horticulture, nature or environmental
science. Civic plantings at Heritage Park, the Goodnow Library, Town Hall,
as well as several philanthropies are made possible from the proceeds of this
sale.
The Sudbury Garden Club meets
monthly, and is open to all interested gardeners.
